Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience, 2 or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Must possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Must have a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government location.
  • Monitor access control points, verify credentials, screen visitors, and/or document entry and exit activity in accordance with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify unauthorized access, unsecured areas, and/or security-related concerns.
  • Prepare clear reports of incidents, visitor activity, and/or daily observations, and help to support orderly operations at the location.
