Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor entrances and exits, verify identification and/or authorization, manage visitor access, and help to deter unauthorized entry in a respectful, professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity, checking access points, and communicating security-related issues to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
