About The Position

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Security in Lexington, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
CPR and First Aid experience or certification is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor entry points and perform screening of people, packages, bags, and/or materials in accordance with location policies and post instructions.
Verify identification, credentials, and visitor information before allowing access to designated areas, and report irregularities to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and activities as required by site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around designated screening areas, lobbies, and perimeter locations as assigned, noting conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access and other security-related concerns.
