About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Control in Thomson, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying badges and access credentials, and documenting visitor activity. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support security-related operations through reliable use of computer or tablet systems. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor entry records, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
  • Observe inbound and outbound vehicle, trailer, and delivery activity at entry points, report irregularities, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns.
