About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Control in Thomson, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying badges and access credentials, and documenting visitor activity. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support security-related operations through reliable use of computer or tablet systems. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor entry records, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
Observe inbound and outbound vehicle, trailer, and delivery activity at entry points, report irregularities, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns.
