Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Monitor access control systems, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and document access-related activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facility entrances, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and shift handoff information related to visitors, access control activity, incidents, and site conditions.
