About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Issuance in CHANNAHON , IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage badge access, monitor alarm panels, and support a welcoming, professional entry experience. You will use computer or tablet systems, communicate with employees and visitors, and help deter security-related incidents through attentive service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Experience with access control systems and badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Support compliance with chemical and petrochemical facility access requirements, including applicable personal protective equipment and restricted-area protocols.
