Security Officer Bike Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Bike Patrol Security Officer in University City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The officer will serve and safeguard clients in commercial and higher education environments by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, responding to security-related concerns, and communicating professionally with visitors and stakeholders. The role emphasizes integrity, teamwork, reliability, care, and creating a welcoming environment. The schedule is Wednesday 5:00 PM–1:00 AM, Thursday 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, Friday 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, Saturday 5:00 PM–1:00 AM, and Sunday 5:00 PM–1:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.25 per hour.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Customer service experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, residents, staff, and community partners while following security procedures and site-specific policies and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of public areas, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the assigned location; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, public disturbances, and critical situations, coordinating with appropriate personnel and public agencies as needed.
- Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with company and site-specific procedures.
