About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Bicycle Customer Service Patrol in Cary, North Carolina. The role is an unarmed patrol position at a public education location, helping safeguard students, staff, visitors, and the community. The officer conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, responds to concerns, and supports a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service. The role pays $17.06 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:45 PM.

Requirements

Able to ride a bike.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, bus loading zones, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations according to established site procedures.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist in directing guests, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate school personnel or emergency responders.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related observations.
