About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for bicycle patrol and access control at an educational location in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The officer conducts foot and bicycle patrols, monitors access points, helps maintain a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors, and provides customer service and clear communication. The role is scheduled Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and pays $18.30 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
Experience with access control and badges.
Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, campus policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, contacting campus resources or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, and surrounding property to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations using established reporting procedures.
Communicate professionally with the campus community and Allied Universal leadership.
Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation.
