As a Security Officer Armed Screening Agent in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting employees, patients, visitors, and vendors while following site-specific procedures for entry screening and access support at a healthcare location.
  • Screen individuals entering the location by reviewing required credentials, asking screening questions, and/or directing them according to current site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, elevated concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by monitoring entrances, observing activity in assigned areas, and documenting unusual activity, policy violations, and/or visitor concerns.
