Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support a professional, customer-focused environment. This is an armed and driving post for individuals who are ready to help protect people, property, and operations through teamwork, reliability, communication, and integrity in a dynamic setting.

Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and monitoring entry and exit activity at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor gates, visitor check-in processes, and delivery access while maintaining accurate logs, reporting unusual activity, and supporting security-related protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for operational concerns, unauthorized access, and conditions that could help to deter security-related incidents.
  • Support vehicle and personnel screening procedures, enforce restricted area access requirements, and document policy violations, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns according to site guidelines.
