Requirements

• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, outages, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted operational areas, verify authorization as required, and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and responses accurately in required reports and logs.
