About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Butlerville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to government property, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification protocols.
  • Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate relevant information to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
