About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Norcross, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of public-facing service areas, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter, with working conditions varying by location.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, following site procedures for entry, restricted areas, and credential verification.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document and report observations and incidents according to site policy.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a professional presence, observing conditions, and communicating concerns to appropriate personnel and/or responding agencies.
