Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at government utility locations.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor entry in accordance with site procedures.
  • Carry authorized equipment in compliance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and post orders; complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
