As an Armed Security Professional supporting a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working as part of a reliable, agile team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor activity, incidents, and patrol observations.
  • Maintain professional communication with site personnel, public agencies, and Allied Universal supervision regarding security-related concerns and response needs.
