About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Gallatin, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a highly visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government utility location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor activity, incidents, and patrol observations.
  • Operate assigned communications equipment and carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies.
