Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience and/or degree in criminal justice.
  • Possess an armed guard card is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct approved individuals to appropriate areas of the residential community.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of community entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with residents and management, report observations and incidents accurately, and follow Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
