As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Driver Patrol Veteran in Hollywood, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a residential community, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to resident and visitor needs. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess a CPO certification.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, community policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential community grounds, streets, common areas, amenities, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site-specific policies and applicable procedures.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding incidents, patrols, unusual activity, and security-related concerns.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
