As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols and drive as needed throughout the assigned location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations, communicate professionally with visitors and personnel, and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Possess a 40 caliber endorsement.
  • Possess a California weapons permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and follow post orders and security-related protocols.
