As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Readiness in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. You will support a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service, clear communication, and teamwork. Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR an Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR a Police Academy Certificate OR a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Handcuffs/Pepper Spray/Baton are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government facilities, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas, with working conditions that may vary by location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
  • Monitor access points and observe activities throughout the location to help deter unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations.
  • Prepare accurate reports and promptly communicate incidents, observations, and/or potential concerns to the appropriate personnel.
