As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Punta Gorda, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors. This armed post requires an Armed Guard Card or License. Requirements

  • Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government law-enforcement location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and report concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
  • Monitor access to assigned areas, verify authorization as directed, and maintain awareness of individuals entering and leaving the location.
  • Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
