About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed CPO Patrol in Atlanta, Georgia, you will serve and safeguard clients at a government location. You will conduct armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security concerns, and provide professional customer service to visitors and staff. You will support a welcoming environment while following site-specific procedures and Allied Universal requirements. Working conditions may vary by assignment.

Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess a Certified Protection Officer certification.
• Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout government offices, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and help deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
• Maintain assigned equipment and complete accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation in accordance with site and Allied Universal requirements.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
