Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Guard card is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following site-specific procedures, managing access control points, and supporting security-related protocols at a government location.
  • Verify identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and/or delivery access permissions before allowing entry to restricted and/or controlled areas.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and access control systems, document visitor and contractor activity, and report unusual, suspicious, and/or unauthorized activity to the appropriate contact.
  • Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including support for emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, as assigned, while observing for conditions that could impact operations and/or security-related procedures.
