As a Security Officer Level III Armed Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support guests and staff with strong communication and customer service. This is an armed driving post. At Allied Universal, you will bring teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach while responding to situations with professionalism in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a busy retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or public first responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and after-hours activity, helping to control access and support loss prevention and asset protection efforts.
• Interact professionally with customers and employees while following post orders, maintaining situational awareness, and supporting a visible uniformed presence at the location.
