About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Windsor, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal in a government location as an armed patrol officer, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting activity through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and support controlled access procedures in accordance with post orders and location requirements.
  • Support emergency and incident response by communicating with supervisors, public officials, and/or first responders, helping to maintain order during high-risk or rapidly changing situations.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
