Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in security-related work, law enforcement, military police, or military service is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a defense industry location.
Perform armed patrols on foot and/or in a vehicle throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized access and unusual activity.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or access authorizations, and report suspicious, hazardous, and/or policy-related issues in accordance with site requirements.
Conduct regular and random inspections of facilities, grounds, and sensitive areas, remaining prepared to support incident response, access control, and other security-related duties as assigned.
