Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military roles is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a defense-related location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access for employees, visitors, and contractors by verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and following site protocols for sensitive areas.
  • Support site operations by monitoring for security-related risks, assisting with incident response, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
