As a Security Officer Armed Access in Georgetown, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with supervisors and/or local law enforcement when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, helping to identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor, vendor, and after-hours entry procedures in accordance with site expectations and security-related protocols.
  • Support medical facility operations by assisting with de-escalation, escort requests, and other security-related duties while maintaining professionalism and strong customer service.
