Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Guard card is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, verifying credentials, and managing access at designated entry points within a government location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, document visitor activity, and report unusual or suspicious behavior through appropriate channels.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and emergency response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting access control concerns, unsecured entry points, and other security-related conditions that may need attention.
  • Complete required logs, incident reports, and pass-down communications to help maintain accurate records of daily activity and security-related events.
