As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Access Control in West Des Moines, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a financial institution, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, respond to security-related incidents, and maintain a visible presence that helps deter potential concerns. Requirements

• A Concealed Carry Weapons Permit is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
• A Valid Firearms Permit is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized personnel and visitor entry, and report suspicious activity or policy violations through established channels.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Maintain required certifications and follow applicable laws, client requirements, and Allied Universal policies for the authorized carry and handling of assigned equipment.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
