As a Security Officer Armed Access in Myrtle Beach, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, manage access points, and respond to security-related concerns. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Access control and badge experience preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of banking areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, observe for unusual activity, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain required documentation, including patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports, while complying with applicable armed post procedures.
