About The Position
As a Security Officer Armed - Customer Access in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- At least 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, document visitor and vehicle entry, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
- Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and firearms, complete required reports, and follow applicable laws, company policies, and client procedures.
