As a Security Officer Armed Access Control in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Officer at a government location, you will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and provide professional customer service to visitors and personnel. You will help maintain a controlled environment through clear communication, attention to detail, and a visible presence that helps deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and officials by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests in accordance with established procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
