As a Security Officer Armed Access Control in Naples, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and other site needs. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
  • Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and prepare required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and assist with controlling entry and exit in accordance with site policies and applicable procedures.
  • Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and perform duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws and regulations.
