About The Position

As a Security Officer Alarm Monitoring in Bradley, Florida, you will safeguard a utilities location by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, responding to routine concerns, and documenting activity using technology. You will provide customer service and communicate with personnel, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities. This is a full-time position scheduled Thursday through Saturday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements under applicable state and/or local laws; a license may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and communicate access concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, buildings, equipment areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports.
Maintain professional communication with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.
