Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility operations personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals in accordance with established site requirements.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, operational areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and identify unusual conditions.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of access activity, incidents, and observations while maintaining professional communication with site personnel and the public.
