As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents while upholding Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture. This is a driving position.

Requirements

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, visitors, and/or delivery drivers while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
  • Verify identification, credentials, access authorizations, and/or required documentation for individuals and vehicles entering or exiting the facility; document visitor and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor access points, gates, alarms, cameras, and/or communication systems; report unauthorized access attempts, unusual activity, and security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established site emergency procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, administrative spaces, operational areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
