As a Security Officer Access Control / Driver in Riverside, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a secure environment for personnel, visitors, and operations. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and may drive as part of assigned duties in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
  • Control vehicle, driver, and delivery access in accordance with site procedures, directing authorized traffic to designated areas and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
