As an Access Control Security Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Verify credentials, monitor entry and exit points, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access-related logs and documentation.
  • Screen incoming and outgoing personnel, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures to help protect the facility, shipments, and operations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
