As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and guests. You will use computer or tablet systems, communicate professionally, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-control logs and records.
  • Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facility entrances, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Communicate clearly with site personnel, supervisors, and emergency responders, and complete detailed incident reports and shift documentation.
