About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Systems in Seadrift, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will use computer or tablet systems, provide outstanding customer service, conduct routine patrols, and communicate clearly while helping to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Lift Up to 20 lbs. is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access authorization requirements, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical manufacturing location.
  • Control access to the location by verifying identification, visitor credentials, contractor documentation, and authorization records before granting entry.
  • Monitor access control systems, entry points, gates, and alarm notifications; document activity and report irregularities to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and identify conditions requiring attention.
