About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Screener in Ladson, South Carolina, you will help safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will maintain a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening individuals and materials, and reporting security-related concerns. The role includes providing professional customer service to employees and visitors and supporting smooth site operations. The position is full-time and pays $16.33 per hour. The schedule is Thursday and Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 4:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while following site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Screen individuals, packages, and freight entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements.
Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipping documentation, and authorization for entry into restricted operational areas.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including facility entrances, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
