About The Position
As a Security Officer Entry Screener in Bryan, Texas, you will help safeguard a logistics and distribution location by monitoring access, screening people and materials, and reporting security-related concerns. You will maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and help deter incidents through attentive observation. The role involves customer service, following site-specific security procedures and policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate. The position is full-time and pays $15.80 per hour. Scheduled hours are 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen individuals entering designated areas according to site procedures, which may include verifying identification, checking credentials, and observing for unauthorized items or activity.
- Monitor access points, delivery areas, and inbound or outbound operations to help deter unauthorized entry and support controlled movement throughout the location.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
