About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer Screener in Pooler, Georgia, serving a logistics and distribution location. The role involves using X-ray screening equipment to review packages and materials, supporting access procedures, and reporting security-related concerns. The screener maintains a visible presence, communicates professionally with team members and visitors, and helps promote an orderly environment.

The scheduled hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The position pays $16.87 per hour. Applicants must have at least six months of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles. Employment is contingent on applicable background and drug screening requirements.

Requirements

• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by following site-specific procedures and conducting security-related screening at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, and vehicles as directed by site procedures, and report prohibited items, irregularities, or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials or authorization when required, and maintain accurate screening-related records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the facility perimeter, to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
