About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer Screener in Spartanburg, South Carolina, you will help maintain a welcoming and secure environment at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will screen visitors and deliveries, monitor access points, report security-related concerns, and provide customer service to employees and guests. This role supports a visible security presence and follows site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. The scheduled hours are Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.51 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Screen individuals, personal belongings, packages, and deliveries according to access-control procedures, escalating prohibited or suspicious items through designated channels.
Verify visitor credentials, appointments, and authorization before permitting entry to restricted areas, and maintain accurate screening and access records.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; promptly communicate observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and the surrounding business perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
