As a Security Officer Security Screener in Niles, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Screener at an aerospace and defense location, you will help support a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and/or materials in accordance with site procedures. You will maintain a professional presence, help identify potential security-related concerns, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, belongings, and deliveries in accordance with established screening procedures and site requirements.
  • Verify identification, credentials, authorizations, and visitor documentation before permitting access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, entry points, and restricted areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
