About The Position

As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic media and technology location, you will manage visitor access, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and support a welcoming environment for employees and guests. You will help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, clear communication, and professional customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and production personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, manage entry records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate locations within a media and technology environment.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and access control documentation while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site stakeholders.
