About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control at a residential community in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, you will safeguard clients by managing access control, monitoring entry points, verifying visitors and credentials, and maintaining a welcoming, professional presence. You will conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service and communication. The role is full-time and pays $20.60 per hour. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Access-control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer-service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor, vendor, and delivery records in accordance with residential community procedures.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, access points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Accurately document observations, access-control activities, and incidents, and communicate relevant information to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
