About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Access Control in Gainesville, Florida, to serve and safeguard clients at a food and beverage distribution location. The officer will manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and respond to security-related concerns. A visible presence and professional communication will help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. The position is scheduled for daytime shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pay rate is $15.83 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations prior to employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following site-specific access-control procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Monitor access points at a food and beverage distribution location, verify credentials, manage visitor entry procedures, and maintain required access-control records.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns through established site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify security-related concerns.
Help maintain orderly vehicle and pedestrian access at designated entry points and communicate professionally with drivers, vendors, and site personnel.
